A cute child leans on a table indoors, gazing through a glass of water. Bright and serene setting.

Won’t my child get bored or isolated at home?

This is a very important concern.

Isolation can be detrimental to children, especially at a young age, and it’s not something that should be ignored.

Children need positive influences around them.

They need opportunities to socialise in environments that align with your values and that you feel comfortable with as a parent.

So this is something we’ve been very intentional about.

Firstly, in terms of boredom, the classes themselves are highly engaging.

In fact, one of the most common pieces of feedback we receive from students is just how engaging the lessons are, alhamdulillah.

Our teachers are qualified, UK-based British teachers for the most part.

And on top of that, they are specifically trained to teach online in a way that keeps students involved and interested.

We often hear students say that lessons don’t feel boring.

For example, Leith shared that there hasn’t been a single day at Lady Evelyn where school felt boring.

And in terms of isolation, this is where the wider structure really matters.

We’ve built a strong sense of community.

Students interact with their peers daily in live classes.

They engage with one another through clubs and group activities.

And because they’re studying from home, they’re also spending more time around their family.

They’re not isolated away from parents and siblings for most of the day.

They’re in an environment they’re comfortable in.

What we also find is that, in the modern age, many children already spend their after-school time at home.

    They socialise online.

    They message friends.

    They play games together.

They meet up outside of school hours.

The difference with online schooling is that it removes unnecessary time.

    There’s no long commute.

No wasted time moving between classrooms.

    No waiting around.

That time is given back to the child and the family.

And what we consistently see is that students actually end up with more time to socialise meaningfully.

    More time with family.

    More time with friends.

More time for clubs and activities.

So rather than creating boredom or isolation, this model often reduces it — because socialisation becomes intentional, aligned, and balanced.

And that’s what we’ve seen work very well for our students.
