    Early Years (Ages 4-5)

    Children from the age of 4 years can join our Reception class, where they begin their educational journey through a nurturing and engaging learning environment based on the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. At Lady Evelyn Independent School, we provide a carefully designed Reception curriculum that supports every child’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development.

    Our Reception classroom encourages curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning through a balance of guided teaching, practical activities, and purposeful play. Experienced teachers help children develop strong foundations in early literacy, numeracy, communication, and personal development while fostering independence, creativity, and positive relationships.

    Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), our curriculum covers the seven areas of learning, ensuring children are well prepared for the transition into Key Stage 1. Alongside developing essential early academic skills, we nurture critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and resilience, enabling every child to thrive as a confident and enthusiastic learner.

    It’s only been a week, and I’ve been listening in on some lessons, and the teachers are really good. They bring Islamic themes into a lot of the lessons. My children are in Year 4 and Year 6, and they are really enjoying this new change, plus all their lessons are recorded, so it’s easy to catch up if we ever miss anything.     It was just amazing

    I used to always struggle with online lessons, get bored really quickly but the way the teachers got you to interact it was just amazing. I remember having competitions between my classmates on who got the highest scores for tests and homework and it really drove you to work hard and be a little competitive.     I have three children

    My have been with Lady Evelyn for multiple years now Al-hamdu lillah. They had been previously behind with the UK curriculum because I am situated in Saudi Arabia and Al-hamdu lillah they have improved significantly in there skills. Initially when the school first started there were a few staff changes but for the last few years they have had regular teachers and the quality of the teaching is superb. My son will be going into his GCSE years with lady Evelyn and honestly I feel like his education is in great hands.

    I wish I had joined sooner

    I have been to another online school before Lady Evelyn and this one is a world apart. The teachers are very knowledgeable about their subjects and they go out of their way to explain concepts that I don’t understand. They actually care. The homework can be a bit much sometimes but I guess that also helps with lifting our grades (my grades have improved dramatically since I joined). So far I have been in this school for 3 years and I’ve really enjoyed my time at Lady Evelyn. I wish I had joined sooner.

    Makes all the difference, Subhan Allah. They really focus on akhlaq and just being a good person in general. Being a good Muslim!     The curriculum at the Primary School Key Stage 1 of Lady Evelyn Independent School includes Phonics, Focus Five, Science, Number Sense, Story Time, Arts and Crafts, Arabic, Qur’an and Physical Education.

    Small class sizes, personalised learning.

    We do not have lecture style classes with hundreds of students like many other online schools.

    The maximum number of students in each class at Lady Evelyn Independent School is 19 and most classes are much smaller than that. Every time the class number hits 20, we split the class into two.
