A student covertly uses a cheat sheet hidden in a calculator during an exam.

How are fees calculated if a student joins mid-year?

So regarding the school fees, it works very similarly to how private schools operate.

In the UK, the average private school fee at the moment is around £24,000 a year.

Because we are an online school, we don’t have the same building and facility costs, so alhamdulillah, we’re nowhere near that amount.

At the same time, we still wanted to make this accessible for parents, without compromising on quality.

So our school fees are annual.

£5,000 for the year, paid in one go.

Now, one of the advantages of being an online private school is that we’re able to provide full access to class materials and recordings of previous lessons.

That means if a student joins later in the year, they don’t miss out.

They receive recordings of every single class they missed prior to joining, alongside the materials, and they continue attending live classes as normal.

So they’re able to catch up and stay on track with their peers.

That’s why the annual fee is £5,000.

However, if a student joins mid-year, we adjust the fees accordingly.

If they are only attending two terms, then they are charged for those two terms only.

The term they missed is not charged.

Even though they still receive access to the lesson materials and full class recordings for that period — which, in a traditional school, would be physically impossible — we take away the months they weren’t here.

So instead of paying the full £5,000, we calculate it monthly.

For example, if five months have already passed, the fee becomes £500 per month.

    Five months would be £2,500.

So instead of paying £5,000 at once, you would only pay £2,500.

This is still a private school.

Your child still receives the same materials, the same education, and the same access as every other student.

And this is something we’re able to offer specifically when a student joins partway through the year.
