Wonderkid Social Circle ACCESS #1

Cooking Club

Explore the joy of cooking from your own kitchen! In our online Cooking Club, students learn new recipes, kitchen safety, and culinary techniques through fun, guided sessions. No fancy equipment needed, just a love for good food and creativity. Each session introduces a new culinary challenge, from baking to preparing simple meals. Students are encouraged to share their creations with others, gaining practical life skills and confidence in the kitchen.

The Cooking Club is one of our most popular clubs. Your child will learn practical cooking skills in a fun and guided way. They’ll follow simple, safe recipes, understand nutrition, and build a sense of responsibility in the kitchen. And of course, parents love it too, because they get to taste the results!

Wonderkid Social Circle ACCESS #2

Drama Club

Bring stories to life from anywhere in the world! Our online Drama Club focuses on voice acting, script work, improvisation, and virtual performances, helping students build confidence and express themselves creatively on screen. Students collaborate on short scenes and activities that explore character, emotion, and storytelling. With a focus on self-expression and teamwork, the Drama Club offers a fun and imaginative outlet for all.

In this club, your child’s confidence will increase, as well as creativity and the ability to collaborate. They’ll take part in role plays, team performances, story-building, and even some public speaking exercises. It’s perfect for shy children who need to come out of their shells, and equally powerful for expressive children to channel that energy.

We even had a school play where students played different parts and created visuals to go with the narrative, helping your child express emotion, build empathy, and speak clearly—all while having fun with like-minded peers.

Wonderkid Social Circle ACCESS #3

Debate Club

Sharpen your critical thinking and communication skills in a lively virtual space. Debate Club encourages students to research, construct arguments, and respectfully challenge ideas while discussing current events and big questions. Through guided discussions and friendly debates, students practise public speaking, build persuasive skills, and learn to see different points of view—all in a supportive and engaging environment.

In the Debate Club, your child learns to speak clearly, think critically, and stand up for their beliefs. They’ll practise how to listen to others objectively, respond calmly under pressure, and engage with different points of view. They will discuss meaningful topics or lighthearted issues in a structured, respectful environment.

The objective isn’t to simply “win” arguments, but rather to build confidence, speak up and acquire the character to do it well. They learn how to have discussions without raising their voice, without getting emotional in the wrong way, and still get their point across – while remaining calm, composed and respectful.

The Debate club helps students listen to their parents’ point of view with an open mind, reducing tantrums and raised voices. And perhaps most importantly, they develop the humility to accept the truth, even if it means changing their opinion. Moreover, if your child ever faces challenges to their values in the real world, these are the skills that will help them respond with clarity, logic and calm conviction.

Wonderkid Social Circle ACCESS #4

Creative Writing Club

Let your imagination run wild! In the Creative Writing Club, students explore poetry, short stories, and storytelling techniques, sharing their work in a supportive online environment with feedback from peers and teachers.

From writing prompts to peer workshops, each session offers new inspiration. Students develop their voice as writers while building confidence and enjoying the creative process.

The Creative Writing Club allows your child to learn how to express their thoughts through stories, poems, articles and more. They’ll practise how to write clearly and persuasively—a skill that’s crucial for exams, university, and real life.

It also builds critical thinking: how to take a complex idea, break it down, understand its parts, and express it with clarity. More than that, it’s a space where they can explore ideas, develop a unique voice, and gain confidence in expressing themselves.

Wonderkid Social Circle ACCESS #5

Board Games Club

Who says online can’t be interactive and fun? Join the Board Games Club to play classic and modern strategy games virtually with classmates. It’s the perfect way to practise problem-solving, teamwork, and have a laugh! Games are played online using shared platforms or interactive tools, making it easy to join from anywhere. It’s a great chance to connect, unwind, and enjoy a little friendly competition.

Board Games Club gives your child a safe and fun space to build friendships while developing critical thinking, decision-making and patience. It also nurtures communication skills and resilience through strategic play and friendly competition. Children learn to take turns, respect rules, and appreciate both winning and losing with grace. These experiences foster emotional growth and a strong sense of community.

Through club activities and projects, students at Lady Evelyn Independent School learn the value of teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication, honing their collaborative skills. Involvement in our optional school clubs presents leadership roles and responsibilities, enabling our students to develop leadership skills, take initiative, and contribute to the success of the club.
